Vitality London 10k Water Station

Thank you all once again for volunteering to give out water to the competitors on the Vitality 10k race.

•        Steve Hewitt will be station leader and will oversee our team throughout the event.
•        We will depart from outside the Essex Arms at 07:00 sharp. Please aim to be there at 06:45. Don’t park in the pub car park and be aware parking restrictions are enforced over the Bank Holiday in the surrounding streets.
•        We must arrive before 08:00 at the City Volunteer Check In Cabin in St Andrew Street off New Fetter Lane.  The nearest train stations are: Farringdon, City Thameslink and Chancery Lane.
•        We’ll wear the T-shirts and jackets provided by VITALITY and we’ll be issued with accreditation passes.
•        The trucks will off load water pallets and crowd barriers before we can set up tables and prepare for the runners. The station itself is on both sides of the road on Holborn Viaduct as it crosses Farringdon Road. It’s just over 3K in to the course.  The first runners could arrive by about 10:10.
•        The last runners on the return stretch should be through by about 11:30 allowing us to munch our packed lunches and take the coach back, arriving at the Essex Arms before 13:00.
•        Sarah Coltman will collect the list of clothes sizes and meal preferences for each volunteer.
•        As usual, dress for all weathers and be flexible with the various tasks on the water station.
•        Keep in touch and let us know if your plans change, especially if you can’t get there on the day.

This event is not scheduled to take place or has already happened
