The club's annual 3 mile handicap race, which was inaugurated in the first year that the club staffed our water station at the London Marathon. Part of the donation received from London Marathon at the time was used to buy the trophy, hence the event name. The course starts at the top of the park and heads out over the golf course to Jaccotts Hill. It then Follows the horse track looping through Whippendell Woods and returning across the golf course to finish at the rustic bridge. Runners must predict their finish time and will then be started according to that prediction - fasted runners starting last. In theory (!) everyone would finish together if their predictions were accurate. The winner is the first runner over the line who has not run more than 59 seconds faster than their predicted time. Many club members run the race and then go off for a few more miles. Come be a part of this great club tradition. (Registration details to follow)
