The Who, what, where & when.
WHO we are

The Watford Joggers are a friendly club, catering for Runners, Joggers and Walkers of all abilities, from marathon runners to fair weather walkers.
We have a very wide age range from early 20's to those in their 80's.
We have an equal male/female split, and a membership of over 100.

WHAT we do
At meetings we split into 4 or so groups, going varying distances and speeds, in addition on Wednesdays we have a beginners group.     On Sundays and Wednesdays (During Summer months) our two meet points give us access to the canal and an extensive network of footpaths leading to Sarratt, Chipperfield & Rickmansworth among other places.  Wednesday evenings during the winter months, we do set routes around Abbots Langley, Bushey, Croxley and the Dome.
We always make sure that everyone has someone to run with.

WHERE and WHEN we meet
We meet twice a week:-
Sundays at 9.15am, Cassiobury Park, Gade Avenue entrance.
Wednesdays at 7.15pm, Sun Postal Club, Bellmount Wood Avenue.
Wednesdays attract a larger number of people, with many stopping for a drink after their run.

RACES
Although we are not principally a competitive club many members enjoy participating in local races, and we have a X-Country team in a local Sunday League.

SOCIAL
There is a very active social side to the club, with at least one event a month organised.
Events include meals, theatre trips, concerts & pub runs.    We also try and get at least one trip abroad each year, for a long weekend incorporating a race somewhere.

COST
Membership for the Watford Joggers is £30 per annum, and incorporates membership to the Sun Postal club in Watford, with their changing rooms, showers and bar facilities.  We are affiliated to the South of England Athletic association and the Herts AAA.  Four newsletters are produced each year.  Come along for a few weeks before deciding if you want to join.

LONDON MARATHON
We have been involved with this event since it began in 1981, and as a club we man the 24 mile water station, where those not running enjoy a busy day, handing out the bottled water.
